My Thoughts on the Golden Globes

The 2014 awards season kicked off last night with the Golden Globes. Saturday Night Live veterans Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted for the second time, and kept the audience LOL-ing with snarky jokes and skits. The real entertainment from the Golden Globes came from the red carpet, not the acceptance speeches:

Photobombing: Jennifer Lawrence photobombed Taylor Swift during her interview with Ryan Seacrest by creeping up behind her with this weird facial expression. IT. WAS. AWESOME. Just another reason why Jennifer Lawrence is one of the greatest people ever.

Leonardo Dicaprio: His suit gave new meaning to the term “form-fitting,” but that’s just Leo. Leo’s gracefulness on the carpet was something out of a dream, and he interestingly rolled up to the Globes with his mom. (sigh) Girlfriend or not, he still came up big with a win for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for The Wolf of Wall Street.

Battle of the Bump: Olivia Wilde in Gucci, Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhullier, and Kerry Washington in Balenciaga. Olivia Wilde’s snug, glittery creation wins. Drew Barrymore’s ensemble resembled a shower curtain from Target and was just awful. Kerry Washington tried, but not hard enough. Shoutout to Olivia Wilde for rocking her bump!

Lena Dunham: I’m not a fan Girls, and I’m definitely not a fan of Lena Dunham. She wore a yellow Zac Posen that should’ve stayed on the rack. Yellow is not your color, girl.
