People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2012 came clean in the January 2014 issue of GQ about his issues with drugs. Though many Hollywood stars eventually discuss their crazy past, I was surprised that Bradley Cooper was one of them.
He discussed his difficult early days costarring with Jennifer Garner on Alias, saying he got depressed as he got less and less screen time on the show. Cooper even asked show director J.J. Abrams to write him off the show.
His drug and alcohol addiction got pretty bad: “If I continued it, I was really going to sabotage my whole life,” he told GQ.
Thankfully Cooper got sober and rediscovered his passion for acting. What would the world be like without Phil from The Hangover or Pat from Silver Linings Playbook?
I love a juicy celebrity interview, and Bradley Cooper is no exception. He’s always been the sexiest man alive to me, and his admission to a dark past only makes him hotter. Stay beautiful, Bradley!
